The holiday rush is here and so are the new COVID restrictions…ugh. It makes shopping a little tricky, to say the least!
This year, “shopping small” is more important than ever. Buy from your local town, or ask a friend that lives in a different city or even a different state what their favorite local store is and buy from them! The phrase “it takes a village” is not just for raising kids. We love our small shops. Supporting your local business community is important, more than ever. We want to see them thrive and come through this madness on the other side. You can also support your local restaurants, bars, small markets and butcher shops by buying T-Shirts if they have them. In our family, we have a tradition of gifting T-Shirts of various local places or places we visit to our family that live out of state.
We also like to order specialty food item gifts on-line as gifts. Here are a few of our favorites:
Lou Malnati’s Deep Dish Pizza
Lou Malnati’s Chicago deep dish pizza. Lots of choices to choose from, and they even have a Gluten Free option! It’s “deep dish,” but… the actual pizza portion other than the crust doesn’t have a thick crust. Just soooo delicious!
Williams Sonoma
We love sending the Chocolate or plain croissants for a Christmas morning treat. You have so many options to choose from like cheese, fruit, and nut baskets to hot chocolate, and all of the fixings! Yuuuuum… what a treat.
Jeni’s Ice Cream
.
Jenis Splended Ice Cream is so yummy, and a family favorite! Who wouldn’t want to receive a big orange box loaded with Ice Cream!!! So many flavors to choose from. Send your own combination, or you can choose something from the holiday collection.
Sprinkle’s Cupcakes
Sprinkles cupcakes…need I say more? If you live local (South Bay) you have probably had a Sprinkles cupcake …they are YUMMY! Order by the dozen…they wont last long!
Happy Holidays!
