In my last post, I discussed my plans to get ready for my friend’s black tie wedding. I loved how everything turned out! The professional hair and make up artist I used (Julie DiMartino) is soooo talented. What a fun splurge! If you’re in the LA area, she is a fantastic resource to beautify you for a special event! See the end of this post for her info.
I wrote in my last blog post, Head to Toe Black Tie in 2022, about the dress I got for the wedding. It fit like a glove, hugged all the right places, and was flattering! The hot pink color was perfect for a summer wedding.
Originally, I planned to wear my hair up. But after discussing options with the stylist, we decided on a half-up do to keep a lighter and more youthful look. She fancied it up a bit with twists at the back. It stayed exactly like this all night!
I am definitely ordering these products below. My hair didn’t feel too stiff which is unusual – it’s thick and wirey and dryyyy.
Moisturizing Under-eye Patches
Before applying makeup, Julie applied some moisturizing under-eye masks to hydrate my skin. We all know how makeup can look “cakey” with foundation, especially under the eyes!
Onto the makeup… below are the products that were used for my face. We decided to go with a “dewy” look for my skin. It has more of a natural and again, summery finish. She made me look at least 10 years younger!
Sunscreen – Beauty Of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotic 50SPF
Color Corrector – FaceAtilier Corrector in Neutral
Foundation – FaceAtilier ProFoundation in shade 7
Setting Powder – Danessa Myricks Evolution Powder in shade 2
Eyeliner – Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in shade 77
Setting Spray – Ben Nye Final Seal
My Hair and Makeup Stylist
Julie took about 2 hours to do her work. She was super efficient and I made not one request for a modification.

I’m thinking I will do this “dramatic eye” look more often on nights out! How long have you been wearing your makeup the same? It may be time to change it up! Spoil yourself. I hope this post gave you some inspiration to do so!
