My 5 Favorite Beauty Products This Month

I can’t believe it’s September, can you? 2020 has been quite a year. But life goes on in this strange world we’re living in today. I hope you’re feeling some normalcy in your life. I thought I’d share my beauty product recommendations I’m loving this month!

My 5 Favorite Beauty Products

1. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick

My friend Julie recommended this to me as a concealer and I love it! The Bobby Brown Skin Foundation Stick in color 046-Warm Beige is the perfect weight to cover the circles under my eyes without feeling cakey. Make sure you get the right color for your skin. I buy a shade lighter than foundation for my concealer which works for me.

2. Laura Mercier Lipstick – Nude Nouveau

Lipstick is another makeup item I find hard to get right. This Rouge Essential Silky Crème Lipstick in color NUDE NOUVEAU has just the right amount of pink while looking natural. A perfect daytime color for most skin tones.

Quick picture of me wearing the lipstick. It looks more pink here because I used brighter pink lip liner. It will look softer if you use a more neutral color liner. I love this color and it is versatile for different day time looks!

3. Loreal Highlighter Stick

I wasn’t doing the whole highlighting thing because it seemed to be too much trouble. But this L’Oréal Paris Magic Lumi Highlighter, Medium  (via Amazon) stick makes it so easy! I found this picture helpful to show where to apply highlighter. It makes a difference on our makeup finish and glow!

4. Kiehl’s Skin Correcting Cream

This is new Multi Corrective Anti Aging Cream is a product Kiehl’s asked me to try. I’ve just starting using it so it will take some time to know if it works.  In general, my family and I love Kiehl’s high quality products so I’m expecting this creme to work well. I’ll let you know.

The 5-in-1 formula is supposed to lift, firm, smooth, re-texturize and moisturize my face. It is also supposed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, firm skin. Made with Beech tree extract to help firm and sodium hyaluronate to moisturize, I’m excited to see how it works for me!

5. Asian Visor

If you follow me on social media, you know I wear my visor all the time. My friends know I’ve been wearing it way before COVID to avoid the sun during my long runs when I trained for my marathons. It’s great protective wear to avoid droplets hitting you when you’re out in public. Also if you want to be anonymous because people can’t see your face when the visor is down… ha!

I’ve been getting my visors at the Korean market for $5 but noticed on Amazon they are $20-$30. With a simple search for “Asian Visor,” I found a great hat for you!

This Visor Hat by Shein for $6 including shipping is a deal. Funny, it only comes up for me under a search for “Asian Visor.” It may sound odd to name it this, but this visor has been popular among asians for many years, so it makes sense to me.

Do you think you’ll try any of these items? They are all great finds for me. Hope you like them too! If you liked this post, you’ll probably like my other posts in the Beauty and Style section of this blog.

PS. I still wear my Ounce of Salt mask and glasses lanyards every day. If you haven’t already, it’s time to purchase one! They are 40% off! They will be awesome accessories after mask life to hold your glasses and wear as jewelry. And if you ever go back to the office, you can put your id badge on it.
